Continuing with conversations this time around I chat with Patrick van der Valk who is Executive Director of BULA. Patrick and I first chatted with regards to Paganello and helping me find a team for this year. We also met at Paganello and have talked from time to time since then. Earlier this year he contacted me with regards to a new Spirit Survey that WFDF and BULA were putting forward.

Like many of you I play in several leagues in Southern Ontario. Also probably like you I’ve noticed several talented players and put them in contact with the appropriate touring coaches so that they are placed on touring teams. All have met with general approval and have become good or great players in the region. Of course, one runs into various personalities and problems as one mentors these players. Many problems are easy to solve and simple require training.

Apparently a bit of mis-communication between the TDs and WFDF means that registration with the TDs starts in January but teams that have accepted their bids should pay WFDF now: We informed you earlier that Registration should be open on 1 December. Unfortunately we have to move this date. WFDF wants teams that are eligible to participate at WUCC to pay $500 first to them and after team pays this fee (which is part of team fee) will be able to register with us.
